How do I apply?
Submit your application at inmanlocalstorytellers.inman.com/apply.
What does the application ask for?
The application asks for information such as your market, role, license details, local topics or story ideas, writing sample, supporting sources, etc. Applicants must agree to Local Storyteller guidelines: https://inmanlocalstorytellers.inman.com/guidelines
To participate, you also need to:
- Hold an active Inman Select subscription once you're accepted, and keep it active for as long as you participate.
- Keep your stories free of sales pitches. Local Leaders isn't a place to promote your products or services.
Can I apply if I'm not a licensed agent?
Yes, but you must be actively working in the real estate industry.
- Agents, brokers, team leaders and broker-owners
- Loan officers
- Appraisers, inspectors, property managers and other related real estate professionals
Can I submit something I've already published?
No. Stories need to be original and unpublished, including on your own website, blog or social media.
Who reviews my application?
Inman editorial staff reviews every application.
How will I find out if I'm accepted?
You will get an email with one of three decisions: accepted, waitlisted or not accepted. If you are accepted, a separate invitation to start writing follows (see the next section).
